Int Football - Poor England scrape draw

A scrappy injury-time goal by Joe Cole gave England a 2-2 draw against the Czech Republic in a friendly at Wembley.

Cole bundled the ball over the line after Emile Heskey stuck a leg out, hooking it back across goal following David Bentley's corner, which had ricocheted off Jonathan Woodgate.

While the goal itself was comic in execution, it was notable that all the players involved were second-half substitutes (Jermaine Jenas also helped Cole find space for the finish) - the starting XI had looked disorganised and disinterested.

Wes Brown had earlier cancelled out Milan Baros's opener with his first England goal, before Marek Jankulovski restored the visitors' lead with a superb free-kick.
England were outplayed by the Czechs, who controlled most of the match and played by far the better football.
